Exercising my 2nd amendment rights

Last weekend I went to the shooting range with some ladies from church... no, you DIDN'T read that wrong! It's true. One more thing to cross off my "I'd Never" list. The ladies went on an "off the books" ladies outing to learn some basics about firearms. It was fun, and while it probably won't become a lifelong hobby, at least I can now say I know how to safely handle, load, and shoot a semi-automatic pistol. And am having great fun using the words "glock" and "beretta" in everyday conversation. The shooting range was a very safe and controlled environment, and the men were very respectful of us. We did get some looks for cheering on our ladies. Apparently, it is not okay at the shooting range to "clap like a girl" when your friends finish their round of shots. Now off to take care of those pesky ducks that are always crossing the road in Sugar Land.... errr, I mean, fold some laundry.
